Minsk says Belarus, Armenia have significant resources to boost trade

PanARMENIAN.Net - Belarus and Armenia have significant resources to increase mutual trade, Belarusian Forestry Minister, co-chairman of the Belarusian-Armenian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation Vitaly Drozhzha told a meeting of the commission on Thursday, November 26.

“The main priorities of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Armenia are the strengthening the positions of Belarusian and Armenian specialists in each other's markets, expansion of the trade network, cooperation in the field of agriculture, science and technology," Drozhzha said.

"At the same time, foreign trade statistics for the current year show that we must make significant efforts to increase bilateral trade. In January-September this year, there was a slight increase in bilateral trade, it went down by 4.5%. There are significant resources that our countries must use to boost mutual trade,” Drozhzha said.

According to the Belarusian co-chairman of the commission, in connection with the increase in the supply of traditional goods, the extensive path of commercial development is becoming more and more tedious, therefore it is necessary to enter the realm of cooperative projects.
