Flyone Armenia gets Turkey's permission to fly to Istanbul

Turkey's aviation authorities have granted permission to Flyone Armenia to operate flights from Yerevan to Istanbul and back, TASS cited the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Flyone Armenia Aram Ananyan as saying on Wednesday, January 12.

"Flyone Armenia airline has received permission from the Turkish aviation authorities to operate Yerevan–Istanbul–Yerevan flights. We have planned the first flight for February 2," he said.

The Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, meanwhile, has granted permission to Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines for launching Istanbul-Yerevan flights, the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure has said.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in mid-December that Turkey and Armenia will restart charter flights between Istanbul and Yerevan. The two countries have no diplomatic relations.
