Anglo Asian seeks help from int'l organizations for Karabakh mine rights

PanARMENIAN.Net - Anglo Asian Mining PLC, a gold, copper and silver producer in Central Asia, has written to senior representatives from a number of international organizations and governments, including the United Nations, the US State Department, the UK Foreign Office, and the European Union about its business interests and mining rights to properties in Nagorno-Karabakh, the company said in a statement.

The Company is requesting support from said authorities to obtain business rights and physical access for Anglo Asian's employees to two mines and surrounding exploration territory in Nagorno-Karabakh.

On July 5, 2022, the Parliament of Azerbaijan ratified amendments to the Company's Production Sharing Agreement, which granted it legal title to three additional concessions with a combined area of 882 square kilometers, including the Karabakh porphyry copper deposit, with a Soviet classified resource of over 300,000 tonnes of copper.
