  Ex-military official charged over faulty gear import April 2, 2025 - 13:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - General-Colonel Movses Hakobyan is facing a new criminal prosecution. According to the accusation, during his tenure, an act of official negligence led to the import of unusable military equipment from Russia to Armenia in 2017, reports 1lurer.am . In addition to Hakobyan, Major-General Armen Harutyunyan, the former head of the Armed Forces' Rocket and Artillery Troops Department, has also been charged in connection with the same criminal case. The prosecution states that the supply contract was signed by Hakobyan, resulting in Armenia acquiring military hardware valued at more than 4.3 billion drams.
