Grigoryan meets Pezeşkian, highlights growing bilateral ties![]() May 19, 2025 - 11:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan paid a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which he met with the newly appointed President of Iran, Masoud Pezeşkian. The two officials expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of Armenia-Iran relations and emphasized the importance of bilateral visits. Iranian President Masoud Pezeşkian extended his greetings to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. While in Tehran, Secretary Grigoryan also met with Kamal Kharazi, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader and head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations. Grigoryan and Kharazi discussed the unblocking of regional communication routes and highlighted the significance of Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace initiative proposed by the government. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
