Respiratory infections remain high in Armenia

In week 50 of 2025, Armenia continues to report high levels of acute respiratory infections, according to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Influenza A virus subtype H3N2 remains in active circulation across the country. Other respiratory viruses such as rhinovirus and bocavirus are also spreading.

About 80% of all infection cases are registered among children aged 0–18, with the highest incidence in the 0–14 age group.

“To avoid the virus and its complications, get vaccinated against seasonal flu (visit your local clinic or outpatient center), avoid contact with people who have respiratory infections, stay home when sick, do not send children to school or kindergarten when ill, consult a doctor, avoid self-treatment, and do not use antibiotics,” the statement said.
