Armenia national team defender Nair Tiknizyan, who plays for Serbian club Red Star Belgrade, said he currently holds four citizenships.
In an interview with the Nobel YouTube channel, Tiknizyan said that in addition to Armenian, Russian, and Serbian passports, he has also obtained U.S. citizenship, Auroranews.am reports.
Asked why he needs a U.S. passport, the footballer replied humorously: “Why do I need this passport? Because every self-respecting Armenian should have a U.S. passport.”
Tiknizyan joined Red Star Belgrade during the 2025 summer transfer window. Since then, the defender has played 25 matches for the Serbian club, providing two assists.
