Тax officers arrested for 9 million dram corruption case![]() January 21, 2026 - 16:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - According to News.am , a court has approved the pre-trial detention of two senior operative officers from Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC). The Anti-Corruption Committee reported that the officials are accused of accepting a particularly large bribe of 9 million AMD from a businessperson in return for an illegal favor. They were apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Committee immediately after committing the alleged offense, during covert investigative and operative-search measures. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
