Armenia allocates AMD 545 mln for election video monitoring![]() March 12, 2026 - 19:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s government will allocate 545 million drams to support video monitoring of the upcoming parliamentary elections. The funds will be provided to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) to organize the regular National Assembly elections scheduled for June 7, according to a draft decision included on the government’s meeting agenda, Factor.am reported. With the allocated amount, the CEC will purchase video cameras, technical equipment and software needed to record voting at polling stations where the number of voters exceeds 300. CEC Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan said on March 11 that polling stations with more than 300 voters will have video broadcasts during the elections. This means coverage for around 1,800 polling stations. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
