Papikyan discusses security cooperation in Brussels

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan met with EU Military Committee Chairman General Sean Clancy in Brussels to discuss prospects for cooperation in the security and defense sphere.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of mutual interest within the framework of EU–Armenia cooperation in the fields of security and defense, including military education, participation in exercises, and involvement in missions.

The parties also addressed several issues related to regional and international security.

Earlier in Brussels, Papikyan also met with European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius. The meeting discussed possible areas of cooperation in the defense sector, prospects for their development, as well as a number of issues related to regional and international security.
