Armenian MPs to attend CIS Assembly meetings![]() April 11, 2026 - 13:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly members will take part in meetings of several standing committees of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. The corresponding order was signed by National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan. The meetings will focus on committees dealing with economic and financial issues, science and education, as well as culture, information, tourism, and sports. MPs Alexey Sandikov, Shirak Torosyan, and Gegham Nazaryan have been sent to St. Petersburg to participate in the sessions, along with delegation secretary Sofya Mnatsakanyan, chief specialist of the International Organizations Division of the National Assembly staff’s External Relations Department. The delegation will be in the Russian Federation from April 15 to April 17, 2026. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
