Pashinyan hails election outcome

PanARMENIAN.Net - Following the results of the June 7 elections, the Civil Contract party will hold a majority in the National Assembly and will also form the government, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the preliminary discussion of the annual report on the implementation of Armenia’s 2025 state budget in parliament.

“On June 7, the Armenian people, through their vote, stood up for the state, independence, and peace. The three-headed party of war has been crushed,” Pashinyan said, according to Sputnik Armenia.

He congratulated Civil Contract on its victory and the result it achieved.

Pashinyan added that citizens, through their vote, had defended the state, independence, the future, peace, and the Republic of Armenia, according to 1lurer.am .

“I must state that the three-headed party of war has been crushed. This is an important, though not final, result, because I believe the people also clearly expressed their will that the three-headed party of war and the criminal-oligarchic system accompanying it must be uprooted from Armenia. Of course, this will be one of the most important items on the agenda of the political majority and the Government, which we must implement without delay and through decisive and special measures.

I also want to congratulate the Civil Contract party on its result and victory. Civil Contract will have a parliamentary majority and will also form the Government. We will have the opportunity to discuss this issue in the coming months,” he said.

According to preliminary data from all 2,005 polling stations published by Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission, Civil Contract received 49.81% of the vote, the Strong Armenia Alliance 23.29%, the Armenia Alliance 9.94%, and the Prosperous Armenia Party 4%.
