
The head of the CIS Observer Mission, Nurlan Seitimov, summarized the mission’s observations of the June 7 parliamentary elections, stating that voting was conducted in accordance with the requirements of Armenia’s Electoral Code and that the elections were open and competitive.
According to Seitimov, technical equipment functioned smoothly in most cases, video surveillance systems were used at the overwhelming majority of polling stations, and the vote-counting process was conducted in line with electoral legislation, Panorama.am reports.
The head of the CIS observer mission said that observers did not identify any violations during voting that could have affected the outcome of the parliamentary elections.
“The CIS Observer Mission concludes that the National Assembly elections of the Republic of Armenia held on June 7, 2026, were conducted in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the Electoral Code, took place on a multiparty basis, and were open and competitive,” Seitimov said.
He also emphasized that the mission carried out its activities freely and independently, in compliance with Armenian legislation and in accordance with the principle of non-interference in the country’s internal affairs.
According to the latest preliminary results, the vote distribution was as follows: Civil Contract — 49.825%, Strong Armenia — 23.281%, Armenia Alliance — 9.934%, and Prosperous Armenia — 3.996%. Under these updated figures, the Prosperous Armenia Party does not clear the 4% electoral threshold required for parliamentary representation.
