
Italian champions and cup holders Inter Milan have reached an agreement with former Armenia national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan, sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported, according to Sputnik Armenia.
It had previously been reported that the experienced midfielder wanted to continue his career in Milan and was willing to remain with Inter. According to Romano, the two sides have agreed to extend their cooperation for another year.
Under the new agreement, the 37-year-old footballer’s salary will be reduced.
During the recently completed club season, Mkhitaryan made 39 appearances, scored 4 goals, and provided 3 assists.
