Peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and ongoing efforts are aimed at further strengthening it, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said during a meeting with the newly appointed Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Thom Berendsen.
The meeting took place in Luxembourg, where foreign ministers of European Union member states are holding talks.
The two ministers discussed joint steps aimed at expanding the strategic partnership between Armenia and the Netherlands, emphasizing the implementation of concrete projects both in existing areas of cooperation and in new sectors. They also stressed the importance of strengthening business ties and increasing bilateral trade turnover.
Mirzoyan presented initiatives designed to enhance regional connectivity, including the TRIPP program, and outlined ongoing efforts to promote cooperation across the region.
The meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg is also expected to discuss measures to support Armenia. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stated before the session began that support for Armenia would be on the agenda, adding that the EU sees growing pressure from Russia.
