Iran praises Armenia's stance during crisis

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, where he once again expressed condolences over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stressing that Armenia shares the grief of the Iranian people.

Pezeshkian thanked Pashinyan for traveling to Tehran to attend the official farewell ceremony for Khamenei.

He said Iran highly values the Armenian government's position toward Iran during a difficult period, as well as the humanitarian assistance provided by Armenia.

The Iranian president also congratulated Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections and expressed confidence that relations between the two countries would continue to develop and grow stronger.

The two leaders also exchanged views on a number of regional issues, emphasizing the importance of continued efforts to promote peace, stability and regional cooperation.

Pashinyan is in Tehran to attend the official farewell ceremony for Iran's late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
