More land returned to Vanadzor municipality

PanARMENIAN.Net - Two additional land plots located within Hrant Matevosyan Park have been restored to the control of the Vanadzor municipality, Armenia's Prosecutor General's Office said.

The decision follows a review initiated at the request of the Lori regional administration. Prosecutors found that 22 entities leasing and occupying land in the park had allegedly used the properties in breach of contractual obligations and for purposes other than those intended, contributing to the park's deteriorating condition.

Based on the findings, the Lori Regional Prosecutor's Office submitted a recommendation to Vanadzor Municipality calling for the termination of lease and gratuitous-use agreements concluded with the 22 entities.

As a result, on July 2, 2026, the lease rights of a legal entity over two land plots at 25-1/6 and 25-1/3 K. Demirchyan Street were revoked.

The reclaimed plots measure 434 and 48 square meters respectively and have cadastral values approximating market prices of 4.562 million drams and 504,000 drams. Both properties have now been returned to the possession of the Vanadzor community.
