ARARAT, Golden Apricot celebrate over 20 years of partnership![]() July 16, 2026 - 19:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Marking more than two decades of partnership between ARARAT Armenian Brandy and the Golden Apricot International Film Festival, the ARARAT Museum of Yerevan Brandy Company welcomed the festival's delegation, including its founders and distinguished international guests. During the visit, guests explored the heritage and values behind ARARAT Armenian Brandy, its enduring craftsmanship traditions, and reflected on memorable milestones from the longstanding collaboration between ARARAT and the Golden Apricot Film Festival. A defining moment of this year's partnership was the the ceremonial laying of a commemorative barrel at the ARARAT Museum. The barrel symbolizes more than twenty years of shared cultural legacy, the strength of the partnership, and the values that have united these two iconic Armenian brands over the years. The visit continued in the ARARAT Museum Treasury, where guests were introduced to the historical collection of ARARAT Armenian Brandy, spanning from the earliest samples of 1902 to the present day. The Treasury is also home to the legendary Dvin brandy collection, including the original bottles officially served during the Yalta Conference. Notably, this year's Golden Apricot program features Fatherland, the latest film by two-time Cannes Film Festival Best Director award winner Paweł Pawlikowski, which includes a subtle reference to this iconic brandy. Drawing on this symbolic connection, Serge Khachatryan, Chief Operating Officer of Yerevan Brandy Company, presented Paweł Pawlikowski with a special bottle of Dvin Armenian Brandy. The gesture underscored how cinema and cultural heritage often intersect in the most unexpected and meaningful ways, giving rise to stories that continue to resonate across generations. Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out. The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest. She called on others to also suspend their accounts over the companies’ failure to tackle hate speech. Penderecki was known for his film scores, including for William Friedkin’s “The Exorcist”, Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining”. Partner news |
