RA MFA's sluggishness in connection with recent incident on Armenian-Georgian border

PanARMENIAN.Net - RA Foreign Ministry's sluggishness in connection with the recent incident on Armenian-Georgian border and Georgian frontier guards' advancements are simply unacceptable, Hay Dat Central Office Director Kiro Manpyan told to a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. "Even if certain territories on border are still disputable, Georgian frontier guards were not allowed to invade there," Manoyan noted. If, as a result of talks, those lands are found to be Armenian territories, and frontier forces continue moving ahead, that will be a serious violation.

Earlier, Georgian frontier forces were reported to be preventing villagers to carry out agricultural work. Back in May, frontier guards invaded the village, not allowing rural population to use its lands, Bavra's community governor Koryun Sumbulyan said.

Armenian Foreign Ministry only confirms being aware of the incident, stating that such problems arise only in areas where Armenian-Georgian border demarcation is disputable. According to a recent release, MFA is conducting talks in that direction.
