“Let’s attack Armenian Facebook” group revealed in social networkJuly 7, 2010 - 16:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - “Let’s attack the Armenian Facebook” group was revealed in Facebook social network. The group was distorting the Armenian translation of the website and attacking Armenian users of it. It includes 688 people, with Azerbaijanis making majority. Group members were coordinating voting for their versions of translation, as a result of which the Armenian interface of the website was replaced with insults. Besides, a group was created to organize attacks against Armenian channels on Youtube. Starting from July 2, the group of users was attacking the Armenian version of Facebook. Using Translation application for the localization of the social network in other languages, the group replaced the interface translation with Azerbaijani propaganda and insults. It became possible, as Facebook's translation into the Armenian language is being beta-tested (it is localized by 73%). Armenian users informed Facebook's management of the incident, but finally solved the problem by themselves.
