BUILDING A NEW NUCLEAR POWER PLANT WILL COST A MILLIARD DOLLARS

PanARMENIAN.Net - . One milliard dollars are required for building a new nuclear power plant with an outturn of 500 MW. Minister of Energy of RA Karen Galustian has declared this to the journalists. According to him, the opportunity of building a new atomic power station fitting the international standards is being considered in case of closing the Armenian A-plant. He noted that the European Union had expressed readiness to invest 100 million dollars for creating alternative power in Armenia. K. Galustian told there had been suggestions to establish a special fund for solving the problem, the first contribution to which would be made by EU.
