Baku to file complaint with ICAO against air flights from Artsakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - The head of AzAl (Azerbaijani Airlines) press service Maherram Safarli expressed protest against flights over Karabakh, ‘unsanctioned’ by Azerbaijan.

Commenting on the intention of Karbakh authorities to resume air communication with Yerevan as well as foreign countries, he said, “we aim to file a complaint with International Civil Aviation Organization to disallow it,” according to Interfax.

The opening of a new Stepanakert airport is expected in May 2010, with the fist in 20 years Yerevan-Stepanakert-Yerevan flight to be operated.
