German-Armenian biologist becomes TUHH President

PanARMENIAN.Net - German-Armenian biologist Garabed Antranikian has become President of Technical University Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH).

Welt Online reported that Antranikian, who earlier held the post of TUHH Vice President, will start his job officially from April 1.

Antranikian was born in Jordan in 1951. He studied biology at the American University of Beirut (1970-1976). In 1980 he received his PhD from the University of Goettingen, where he prepared his habilitation thesis in microbiology.
