Over 100 school students participated in Child Internet Security contest in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Microsoft Office in Armenia and World Vision charity organization summarized the results of Child Internet Security contest.

Over 100 school students participated in the contest. They presented over 60 projects telling about dangers that may be faced in Internet.

Winners in various categories were awarded by the organizers.

The event was timed to International Safer Internet Day that is marked in Armenia for the third time.

Director of Microsoft Office in Armenia Grigor Barseghyan said that the information campaign will be continued in Armenia’s schools until March 1, with presentations on safe Internet to be organized at minimum seven schools.

World Vision, as part of its one-year program, will organize lessons with school students, teachers and parents in 25 schools throughout Armenia.

“Often, parents are less aware of Internet than their children. Thus, it is important to inform parents of these risks as well,” said Hasmik Ghukasyan, expert of World Vision educational programs.
