Health state of Olympic champion Yuri Vardanyan stable

PanARMENIAN.Net - Spokesperson for the Armenian Health Ministry Shushan Merdinyan said Olympic champion Yuri Vardanyan’s health condition is stable.

His life is out of danger, Merdinyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

During a surgery for lower leg reconstruction at Erebuni medical center, the sportsman's heart stopped. Doctors had to discontinue the operation to proceed to open-chest massage.

In October 2010, Vardanyan was injured in a car accident on Yerevan-Gyumri motorway and underwent a surgery in Nairi medical center.
