Athens hosts event dedicated to William SaroyanJune 8, 2011 - 12:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 6, the theatrical hall of the Hellenic American Union hosted an event dedicated to Armenian-American writer William Saroyan. Specifically, visual artist and Adjunct Professor of Painting at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Dimitris Zouroudis presented a lecture entitled “Writing with colors: William Saroyan through his drawings.” In his lecture, Zouroudis drew parallels between Saroyan’s literature works and drawings to present the well-known writer through his color drawings. A range of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of William Saroyan’s death is organized by Hellenic American Union, Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Athens in cooperation with Hellenic-Armenian Studies Center.
