Romania hands BSEC CiO mandate over to Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) of BSEC Member States under the Chairmanship-in-Office (CiO) of Romania took place on Wednesday, the 8th of June in Bucharest.

The Council took stock of the progress of BSEC and its activities under the Romanian CiO and formally launched the process of preparing the forthcoming 20 years Summit of BSEC. The hand over of Romania’s CiO mandate to the Russian Federation, the incoming BSEC CiO, July-December 2011 was marked.

Armenian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Manasaryan participated in the event. During the event, Mr. Manasaryan noted the progress in social and economic cooperation achieved during Romania’s 6-month BSEC chairmanship, also stressing Armenia's practical involvement in the process.
