Chinese pianist Cao Peng wins Aram Khachaturian Competition![]() June 13, 2011 - 11:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Chinese pianist Cao Peng won the first prize at Yerevan-hosted Aram Khachaturian International Competition; Zhora Sargsyan and Lilit Grigoryan (Armenia) became runners-up at the contest followed by Sona Arshakyan (Russia). Anahit Dilbaryan (Armenia) was awarded the 3rd Round Participant Diploma. This year, the contest gathered 36 musicians from 11 countries worldwide, including Armenia, CIS and European states, U.S., Canada, Australia, Lebanon, Spain, Georgia, China, Korea and Dominican Republic. The contest was organized by Armenian Ministry of Culture, Aram Khachaturian Competition Cultural Foundation and Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. The general partner of the competition is the Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation (IFESCCO).
