The head of Operative Hydrometeorology Center Zaruhi Petrosyan forecasted a hot and dry summer in Armenia in 2011, with 5-6 °C temperature rise expected in the next 5 days.
“The temperature will rise to 28-30 °C on June 16; 31-33 °C expected on June 20. In July-August the temperature will return to normal, with below average precipitation predicted.”
In Yerevan, average temperature in July-August will near 25-27 °C; average temperature in Armenia will remain normal (16 °C).
