State Duma ratifies Protocol to extend Russian base deployment in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian State Duma has ratified the Protocol to the treaty on Russian military base deployment in Armenia, envisaging contract duration increase from 25 to 49 years, with a possibility of automatic renewal for five years.

In addition, the Russian military base will be responsible for provision of Armenia's safetly jointly with RA Armed Foreces, as well as supply of modern armament, special and military equipment.
