Sargsyan, Ahmadinejad discuss bilateral relations on phone![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan had a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to discuss development of bilateral relations as well as a number of regional issues. The conversation took place on the initiative of the Iranian side. Iran’s President was expected to be in Armenia on June 6 and 7, however, the visit was cancelled at the last moment. The Iranian Foreign Ministry said the visit will take place in the near future but did not mention any date. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. Partner news |
