Hillary Clinton reiterates necessity of Armenia-Turkey rapprochement

PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with Turkish President Abdullah Gul on the sidelines of Istanbul-hosted Libya Contact Group meeting.

According to Hurriyet, the parties focused on normalization of Armenia-Turkey ties, with Ms. Clinton expressing readiness on behalf of Washington to assist the two countries in rapprochement.

Discussion of Turkey-Israel relations was also on meeting agenda. According to Ms. Clinton, U.S. promote secret negotiations between Ankara and Tel-Aviv and are ready to take every effort for the talks to succeed.
