Armenian athlete Levon Aghasyan enters final at European Youth Olympic Winter Festival

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian track and field athlete Levon Aghasyan entered the final of Trabzon-hosted 11th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in triple jump, qualifying for the next tour with 15,02 m result and is presently ranking the 6th.

The final is due on July 28.

Judoist Vahagn Hovsepyan (50 kg) won the only medal for Armenian team, becoming a bronze prize winner scoring over Azeri sportsman.

4000 sportsmen from 49 countries are competing for gold at the Festival. The program includes nine categories.

EYOF has a summer edition, which was held for the first time in Brussels in 1991, and a winter edition, which began two years later in Aosta.

In 2013, the summer festival will be held in Utrecht, Netherlands and in 2015 in Tbilisi.
