Arshak Petrosyan: Armenian chess team gets ready for victory

PanARMENIAN.Net - The coach of Armenian chess team Arshak Petrosyan said that the Championship 2011 was the most difficult, as world 10 strongest teams participated in it.

“We are very glad for the victory. Within 20 years the team members have changed but the spirit and strive for victory remained unchanged. The team is like one big family, and each member works for others as well, Petrosyan said.

The coach underscored that #1 Levon Aronyan leads the rest players behind, and after Sergey Movsisyan joined the team, all four boards’ chess players are strong.

The Armenian team is planning to participate in Europe Team Chess Championship in Greece in November. “Armenian chess team gets ready for victory again,” said Petrosyan.

On July 26, Armenian team won Ningbo- hosted World Team Chess Championship, gaining 14 points in 9 rounds.
