Freestyle wrestler Mihran Jaburyan secures Armenia’s participation in 2012 Olympics

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian freestyle wrestler Mihran Jaburyan (55kg), who dropped out of FILA Wrestling World Championships in 1/16 finals, was given a chance to fight for championship bronze due to his rival Victor Lebedev’s bid to finals.

In series of rehabilitation matches, Jaburyan scored 3:0 and 3:1 wins over Alan Cristobal Olivera Lopez of Mexico and Frank Chamizo Marquez of Cuba, thus securing Armenia’s participation in 2012 London Olympics.

In a bid fop World Championships bronze, Jaburyan will face of against Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan.

FILA Wrestling World Championships 1-5 places winners will qualify for 2012 London Olympics.
