30 Samsung apps offered for free on App Store 2nd anniversarySeptember 20, 2011 - 19:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung Electronics celebrated its 2nd anniversary of Samsung App Store by launching a new and updated version of its successful application store, according to “Samsung Tomorrow” Samsung’s Official Global Blog. Apps will be made first available to Samsung Wave smartphones running on the new Bada 2.0 OS and spread out globally on Samsung Galaxy devices towards the end of the year. The new version of Samsung Apps features an improved user interface, updated purchasing options and a personalized App recommendation services. Samsung also offers 30 popular paid applications for free including well-known titles. Already featuring over 40,000 applications, the new version of Samsung Apps introduces several new features that improve the app store’s all-round user experience. Since its initial launch in September 2009, Samsung has been providing an entertaining, useful and enriching smartphone experience to millions of users around the world. Samsung Apps has successfully expanded its coverage globally with availability in 121 countries and an offering of 40,000 applications. In addition, Samsung Apps was made available for Galaxy devices in March 2011. A commercial service for China and Korea started in July, followed by the UK and Australia as of September 15th. With the release of In-App Purchase SDK on September 15th, Samsung Apps will expand its commercial service for Galaxy devices to more countries this year.
