Boston to host Armenian Night Sept. 22

PanARMENIAN.Net - Boston will be hosting another Armenian Night featuring cuisine, libations and entertainment highlighting Armenian culture on September 22.

It’s an evening with wide appeal for all (Armenian or not) with musical performances by the Musaner and Nor Quartet, and Armenian food specials prepared by Executive Chef Rebecca Newell.

This unique evening is brought in partnership with Hamazkayin-Boston, an Armenian educational and cultural society, dbusinessnews reported.

Musaner is a musical project directed by composer and pianist Ara Sarkissian. With regular performances, this uniquely evocative musical group encompasses original folk music compositions and arrangements from Armenia. Folk instruments from Armenia blend with the traditional language of a jazz band to create a new and original sound.

Nor Quartet plays a contemporary take on traditional Armenian and Bulgarian folk melodies organized by modern jazz musicians Karen Kocharian and Ara Sarkissian.
