RPA member: Kocharian’s return won’t affect Armenia’s domestic policy

PanARMENIAN.Net - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will support the candidacy of current President Serzh Sargsyan at 2013 presidential election, a member of RPA stated.

“The decision was confirmed in coalition parties’ memorandum. RPA is not a pro-governmental or pro-presidential party. We are a ruling presidential party, pursuing our programs and goals,” Gagik Melikyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

Melikyan did not rule out a possibility for ex-leader Robert Kocharian to run for President. The MP, however, was skeptical as to the fact above having any impact on Armenia’s domestic policy.
