Sarkozy: Turkey must come to terms with its past

PanARMENIAN.Net - France recognized the Armenian Genocide as a death sentence passed on a whole nation by the Ottoman Empire, French President said.

“Turkey must come to terms with its past by recognising the Armenian Genocide,” Nicolas Sarkozy stressed during the unveiling of Auguste Rodin’s Jules Bastien-Lepage sculpture in Yerevan.

The President repeated the word in Armenian: “Tseghaspanutyun”.
