Expert: progress in Armenian-Turkish relations unreal

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian expert Ruben Melkonyan supposes that progress in Armenia-Turkey normalization is unreal in the near future.

“The region is undergoing various processes and nothing can’t be ruled out,” Melkonyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. “There are no precedents that would make Turkey make a step towards normalization, although, with the rapprochement on the foreign policy agenda, Ankara boldly speaks of relations with Armenia at the international arena.”

As to possible moves Armenia can take to normalize relations with Turkey, the expert said Armenia has already done its best and the only thing which remains is to withdraw the signature from the protocols.
