  Armenian-Azerbaijani conference held in Washington October 27, 2011 - 14:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Washington hosted an Armenian-Azerbaijani conference dedicated to establishment of a dialogue between the two countries’ civil societies. As a conference participant Regional Studies Center (RSC) director Richard Giragosian told journalists in Yerevan, the conference brought together representatives of different social classes, governmental officials, management of NGOs and experts. “We succeeded in establishing a dialogue, also agreeing to increase the number of future participants,” Giragosian said, commenting on positive aspects of the event. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
