  Expert says protocols only choice to normalize Armenia-Turkey ties November 2, 2011 - 16:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. continues support for Armenia-Turkey rapprochement with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s urge for Ankara to ratify protocols with Yerevan to prove the above, according to a political analyst. As Sergey Minasyan told a news conference in Yerevan, despite having serious tools to pressure Turkey, the U.S. is unwilling to use them against Ankara to bring about protocols’ ratification. “Though in standstill, Armenia-Turkey ties have only protocols as means to achieve normalization,” the expert said, noting protocols to be the most optimal document for the purpose. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
