Turkey’s involvement in Karabakh settlement unacceptable –expert

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Turkologist is sceptical that the statement by OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, suggesting Turkey can officially mediate Karabakh settlement carries the force of law.

However, in a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter Ruben Melkonyan expressed concern over the statement, which might mean that Turkey is working towards increasing its presence in conflict mediation.

The expert characterized Turkey’s involvement in conflict settlement as unacceptable, considering Ankara’s pro-Azeri position.

As a return step, Melkonyan suggested Armenia make a similar statement to present its position on the issue.
