Larisa Alaverdyan also explained the issue by the recent tension between the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and Prosperous Armenia party. She also voiced hope that these resignations will not be followed by a divorce. (former parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan’s son is married to Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s daughter). Alaverdyan favored Abrahamyan’s sociability and his good speaker’s capacities without relevant experience. She also praised Abrahamyan for improving discipline within National Assembly and MPs attendance.
