2012 budget envisages AMD 7.4 bln for school repair, construction

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly hosts the last joint meeting of standing committees on 2012 draft state budget.

Chairman of standing committee on financial-credit and budgetary affairs Gagik Minasyan noted that industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in Armenia, state revenues depending on 2012 budget implementation.

Deputy Finance Minister Pavel Safaryan, in turn, presented funds allocated by economic bloc ministries.

“The Ministry of Economy will be allocated AMD 807 mln for implementation of various programs. Energy and Natural Resources Ministry will get USD 36 mln for two programs including AMD 30 mln for reactive waste removal. Transport and Communication Ministry will get AMD 6 bln 830 mln for road construction and repair. Ministry of Urban Development will get AMD12.3 bln, 7,4 out of which intended for schools construction and repair,” Safaryan said adding that AMD 1 bln will be assigned from Russian loan for school construction in Gyumri’s Mush 2 district.
