Iran considers lifting visa requirements with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran appreciates cooperation with Armenia and works for its further development, Iranian Foreign Minister said.

“One of the steps in this direction will be the lifting of visa requirements,” Ali Akbar Salehi told a briefing in Yerevan.

“Although having a small territory, Armenia is an important regional actor and plays a big role in terms of regional security, which is the guarantee of welfare of our nations,” he said.

“Another proof of good relations with Armenia is the statistical data on Iranian tourists. Over 100 thousand Iranian citizens visited Armenia over the past year and we hope that this figure will grow to 1 million,” Salehi added.
