Armenia to expand trade, economic ties with Iran - Nalbandian November 8, 2011 - 13:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia stands for strengthening of strategic cooperation with Iran, RA Foreign Minister said. “Armenia plans to strengthen ties with Iran in transport and energy sectors,” Edward Nalbandian told a press conference in Yerevan “Bright examples of cooperation in these fields will be commencement of railway construction to foster trade relations and operation of hydropower station at the border,” he noted, stressing the importance of cooperation between governmental institutions. For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi emphasized that Armenia possesses great potential for development of trade and economic relations.
