Website registration for Armnet Awards 2011 launches Nov 16

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan will host the second in the series of ArmNet 2011 events on December 2-4, SP Marketing Solutions and Orange Armenia, the organizers of the event, officially announced on November 16.

“3 events will be featured this year, Armnet Awards 2011, to award creators of best websites; ArmNet conference, hosting leading IT experts from Opera Software, Begun, Google, Twitter and Start-Up Weekend innovation contest, enabling the winner to start his own business based on his innovative idea,” project coordinator Zhirayr Terzyan said.

Armnet Awards 2011 will feature 8 nominations: Design and Usability, Innovation, Technological Development, Content , Breakthrough of the Year, Grand Prix, People’s Choice.

Jury of 12 members will select the best projects; the winner of People’s Choice nomination will be selected by SMS voting.

Those willing to participate should register their websites in armnetawards.am. Website should comply with at least 2 requirements out of 3: competitiveness in Armenian market; presenting culture, history and problems of Armenians in homeland and Diaspora and third, design by companies registered in Armenia.

Website registration will be held November16-27. Details on participation and registration are presented in the project website.

Jury includes Begun Commercial Director Dmitri Danilenko, Stanislav Vidyaev representing Google, Vladimir Isaev from Opera Software, Vardan Papikyan from NeoMedia, designer Ara Aslanyan, APMA founder Albert Poghosyan, information security specialist Samvel Martirosyan, Thomas Kohler from France Telecom, Yaroslav Greshilov from Artviko, YSU professor Grigor Vahanyan, UITE President Karen Vardanyan and Hayland.am project leader Artashes Mkrtchyan.

Armnet serves the purpose of promoting web environment in Armenia.
