Yerevan residents will decide Persia Tower's fate – Municipality

PanARMENIAN.Net - Neither Yerevan Municipality nor Architecture Council have discussed the project of Persia Tower construction, city administration’s spokesman said.

As Artur Gevorgyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, project discussion has been scheduled to most probably take place at Architecture Council. If approved by the Council, the project will be submitted to public discussion with the involvement of interested parties. Thus, Yerevan residents will be able to decide whether to allow or ban the Persia Tower construction.

Persia Tower, a 50-storey skyscraper designed by Iranian architect Aryan Shahabian is planned to be built in the center of Yerevan, between Moscow film theatre and Golden Tulip hotel.

Shahabian's project won the 2nd place in an international architecture contest.
