Education Minister vows support for National Defense University establishment

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 23-24, an expert group acting under the auspices of NATO visited Armenia with a purpose to bolster reforms in Armenia’s military education. The group comprised military and civil representatives from U.S., Canada, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Romania, Switzerland and NATO, Armenian Defense Ministry's press service reported.

On first day of the visit, discussion was held in RA Defense Ministry led by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan. Head of the RA Defense Ministry National Strategic Research Institute, Major General Hayk Kotanjyan presented a project on establishment of National Defense University.

Minister Ohanyan stressed that Armenia stands ready to continue cooperation with American partners in the framework of the aforesaid project.

Ashotyan, in turn, noted that Armenian Ministry of Education and Science is willing to provide necessary scientific and organizational support for establishment of National Defense University.
